Private Ceremonies

The Worcester County Veterans Memorial at Ocean Pines is your memorial, and you are invited to honor your loved one with a private ceremony at the Memorial. Any United States veteran from the Revolutionary War to present day can be honored. Requests to fly a “special” flag over the Memorial are also encouraged and can be accommodated in most instances.  Both events will need the prior approval of the Foundation Board of Directors and may necessitate coordination with various committees.

Any civic organization in Worcester County wishing to honor veterans or other military currently serving in the Armed Forces of the United States by conducting an appropriate ceremony at the Memorial site is welcome to do so with the approval of the Foundation Board of Directors.

The main Foundation Board of Directors point of contact for private ceremonies is Doug Slingerland.  Doug may be reached at 410-208-1287 or
