Dear Roseann:
It is with deep emotion that I write you about the Memorial Day Service this year. Every year I feel it is the best one yet, but you always come up with something more to make it extra special.
The addition to your usual program of Destiny Ginn, the 4th grader who wrote an essay about America was very moving. It is heartwarming to hear feelings like that coming from such a young person. It renews our faith in our young people and makes us feel comfortable that our country will endure and continue to be the greatest nation in the world.
Please thank the Worcester County Memorial Committee for inviting the Ex-POW Maryland-East Chapter again to participate in such a heartwarming program. We have had this honor for five years and we have really aged since the dedication in 2005. Every time we participate in your program, we feel so grateful that we are still remembered by your organization and the people of Worcester County.
We appreciate the fine job you do and we feel certain that you will continue to remember the men and women who have given so much toward preserving our freedom.
An Ex-POW knows what freedom really means.
Sincerely,
Joseph C. Sangermano, Commander
Ex-POW Maryland-East Chapter
